Production systems where correctness, reliability, and security actually matter.

I build the kind of software where a mistake costs real money: tax filings, live energy dashboards, and AI agents that push code to production.

I've been building production software since 2018, mostly in TypeScript, Node.js and React, running on Azure and AWS. Since 2022 I've been a Senior Software Engineer at Cinnova Technologies, working with teams in the US and Europe from my desk in Lahore.

Four areas

What I do

  • Regulated data systems

Tax filing and compliance systems. Bad data or a rejected submission here isn't a bug ticket, it's someone's tax deadline.

  • Real-time platforms

Dashboards fed by live data that can't freeze up when the real workload arrives. Demo data always behaves; production data doesn't.

  • Cloud architecture

Azure and AWS in production: functions, APIs, pipelines, hosting, storage, and all the wiring in between.

  • Automation & AI agents

A real part of my day job: automating workflows that used to be manual, updating legacy systems, and running AI agents that do engineering work inside guardrails they can't remove.

TabService

IRS-authorized A2A e-filing platform

TabService is an IRS-authorized e-filing platform, and I built it end to end. It handles forms like 1099-R, 1098-T, 1098-E, 1099-B, 1099-C, 3921 and 3922, turns them into XML that validates against the IRS schemas, generates the matching PDFs, and manages the whole submission pipeline.

The XML was never the hard part. IRS schemas change every tax year, and when a submission is bad, the rejection comes back with barely any explanation. So I built validation straight from the IRS schemas into the system. Problems get caught before filing, not after a rejection.

Tax data makes security most of the job. The platform encrypts data in transit and at rest, controls who can see or submit filings through authentication and roles, sits behind a point-to-site VPN with locked-down network access, masks personal data like SSNs, and keeps audit logs of who did what. I also run the Azure side: Function App deployments and rate limiting through Azure API Management.

Melink

Solar and energy monitoring platform

Melink is a real-time platform for monitoring solar and energy data. WebSocket updates feed the dashboards while ETL pipelines push thousands of records a day through SSIS and Azure Data Factory.

My job was keeping it fast while data kept pouring in. I fixed things across the stack, from slow queries to the API to the frontend, and got dashboard load times down by about 35%. Most of the wins came from the data layer, not the UI.

LokSujag

Multilingual news platform

LokSujag is a multilingual news platform for a UK-based independent Pakistani media outlet. Think BBC Urdu, but independent and publishing in more than one language. I built it end to end with Next.js, and thousands of people read it.

Urdu breaks most publishing stacks. You need right-to-left layout, Nastaliq fonts, and English words mixed into Urdu sentences, all rendering correctly next to the left-to-right languages, and all loading fast for readers on slow connections in Pakistan. I also built the workflow journalists publish through and the SEO setup that gets every language indexed.

XProjets

CMS for a student consulting organization

XProjets is the junior enterprise of École Polytechnique, the student consulting organization that delivers technical and strategy missions for businesses. I built the CMS behind their site: the system their team publishes and manages content through.

Independent product

WorkforceSignal

Workforce-layoff tracking platform

WorkforceSignal is my own product. It tracks workforce reductions and publishes structured updates, and the whole point is that nobody publishes anything by hand: the pipeline gathers the data, structures it, and puts it live on its own. The real work is keeping it reliable enough that I don't have to babysit it.

Everything here is mine: the product calls, the code, the deploys, and the fixing when the pipeline breaks.

The workflow

  1. Jira ticket
  2. Agent implementation
  3. Security controls
  4. Deployment
  5. Playwright verification
  6. Human escalation

I automate the repetitive parts. I keep humans in the decisions that matter.

AI agents are part of how I ship every day, not a side project. A Jira ticket can go all the way from implementation to deployment through the agent workflow.

The key decision: the model never gets free rein. Security rules live in hooks the agent can't bypass, so I don't have to trust it to behave.

A green deploy proves nothing on its own. After every release, Playwright clicks through the live app to make sure things actually work.

Big architecture and security calls stay with me. I automate the boring parts, let machines verify what machines can verify, and keep my own judgment on anything that's hard to undo.
